Marine Fire 740 is a pre-engineered, self-contained automatic and manual/automatic fire suppression system. Manual only options are also available for the European market. The fire extinguisher is operated manually by pulling a Manual Discharge Cable. Automatic operation is achieved by a thermally activated glass bulb which bursts at 79°C releasing extinguishing agent from the cylinder. The Marine Fire 740 Series contains Dupont FE-227 clean agent extinguishant and can put out a fire in under 10 seconds from discharge.

The system can be combined with an Engine Shutdown System to automatically stop engine motors, ventilation/air extractors and close fire dampers.
